I have heard that COBRA law is currently being promulgated,for an extension of benefits. I need to find out if Obama's new legislation that he signed for continuation of the subsidy coverage also relates to people who's regular Cobra benefits are ending due to the 18 month deadline. I do not qualify for the subsidy because I was laid off on 7/1/08, but I do not want to lose my Cobra medical coverage either.
