Continued; the employee would qualitfy for redution of Cobra premium due to loss of qualifying for group health benefits. That is what happened to me, but I don't qualify because of the word "involuntary" loss of group health coverage. When my husband filed for divorce, it was truly involuntary on my part.

The word "involuntary" is used a lot with regard to termination of insurance. As an ex-spouse, who was covered under my husband's group health plan, I am "involuntarily" losing my health insurance and half of my household income because he filed for divorce, and is not providing me with any health insurance benefits at all. That would be financially similar to someone who involuntarily got their hours cut back by 50%, but that person WOULD QUALITY
